Children dream uninhibitedly. They dream about things the rest of us find unobtainable. Too often, we think about all the obstacles in our way and allow our minds to entertain the "what ifs," rather than the "why nots." As we mature, our goals need to be more realistic for our skills and abilities, but that doesn't mean we have to stop reaching for the stars.

These goals can look vastly different. If you work for a company, maybe you want to reach the c-suite or gain the experience you need to start your own company. This is where you should be inspired by the dreams of those in the under age five crowd. Allow your mind to imagine where you'd like to be in 5, 10, or 20 years.
Outline a path you need to take to accomplish this goal
Once you know where you want to go, it's time to outline the steps needed to get there. This includes setting small and incremental goals throughout your journey. The path to success requires thinking outside the box and being willing to dream big.
